Noodles' Thoughts: Maybe it's me. I don't get how A Serious Man could be nominated for Best Picture? Do we just reward good tries or is it because this is one of those types of movies you are supposed to like. I thought A Serious Man was long, disjointed, overly pretentious and not good at all. I did not care about the characters nor the story and couldn't wait until it ended. I did watch parts of it on fast forward because it was unbearable to watch in real time.
I cannot recommend A Serious Man. I just don't think it was as good as we were led to believe it would be. Let me know if you think I am wrong or if you agree. Skip it!
